CHARLOTTE, NC (January 29, 2020) – The Interior Design Society (IDS) of Charlotte is pleased to announce the Designer Charity Showhouses in Davidson have received significant, high-level sponsorship by more than 100 local businesses who have collectively teamed up to bring three $1.6+M homes to life.

“The Showhouses simply would not be possible without the support of our Platinum Level sponsors and beyond,” said Starr Miller, co-chair of the IDS Showhouse project. “We are grateful for the time and money these businesses, particularly Queen City Audio Video Appliances, have donated to make these Showhouses possible. The support from the Davidson, Charlotte, and surrounding communities has been tremendous, and IDS Charlotte is honored to be involved in an exciting project that benefits several great causes.”

The Platinum Level Sponsors who have donated $25,000+ are as follows:

  • Queen City Audio Video Appliances
  • Cutting Edge Stoneworks
  • Impact Design Resource Closets – Custom Cabinetry
  • Kohler Co.
  • Lightstyles
  • Schlabach Wood Design
  • Sherwin Williams Paint
  • SoundVision Audio – Video – Home Automation
  • STONEworks

“Through partnerships with talented individuals and companies in the area, we will not only attract and inspire visitors from Charlotte and beyond, but we will also raise money for many well-deserving families through Motor Racing Outreach,” remarked Miller.  “We aim to not only design inspiring spaces, but also to create events that will positively impact our community. These things are possible thanks to the outpouring of support from our sponsors. They are critical to our success and we appreciate their contributions.”

In addition to the sponsorship dollars put towards the three homes, Queen City Audio Video Appliances is also sponsoring a progressive lunch at the homes on March 25. More information to come.

“The Designer Charity Showhouse Event is a unique and unprecedented endeavor,” commented Audrey Clawson, IDS CLT president and chairperson of the Showhouse Event. “It is historic and will impact the Charlotte community in innumerable and meaningful ways.”
